Basic is the most important thing.
It's make you got higher & higher skill.
But someone lerning from textbook and
never adapt something from it cause they
think that many different thing from text
book are all wrong.

I think that learning basic from textbook
and adapt it when your skill are good enogh
that would make you complete and find some
skill that nobody can do but you.
If you still do the same things like textbook.
